Watford v Liverpool

Liverpool travel to Watford needing to win to maintain their Champions League ambitions - and the bookies have reacted by quoting the visitors as short asa 8/15 to win the match.

That confidence in Liverpool has forced Watford out to as long as 13/2 to win the match, and 9/2 in the Draw No Bet market, and that simply has to be too long about a side who could yet finish in the top half this season.

The Hornets have won an excellent eight games at home this season - as many as Man City, and more than Man United, while they are just a point behind the much more fashionable Southampton, and level on points with last year's champions Leicester City.

There is no way either of those sides would be going off at the sort of prices available on Watford, and the home side have won their last three at Vicarage Road, all without conceeding a goal. Granted, those wins came against Swansea, West Brom and Sunderland, but they have also beaten Man United, Leicester and Everton this season.

Liverpool on the other hand have slipped up in a few similar ties to this one. Burnley, Bournmouth, Hull and Leicester have all beaten the Reds this season, so why not Watford?

Stats:

- All six of Liverpool's Premier League defeats have come to sides outside the Top 7

- Liverpool have averaged 1.82pts per game against sides outside the Top 7 this season, but 2.17 against the Top 7!

Watford to beat Liverpool Draw No Bet - 9/2
