PGA Travelers Championship
Played at TPC River Highlands, this event always attracts a stellar field, and this year is no exception with the likes of Jordan Spieth, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day all in attendance, and it's probably fair to say that with nine weeks to go until the FedExCup Play Offs, a couple of those would like to start banking some points sooner rather than later.

This course rewards those who can get onto the greens quickly as a rule, and it's impossible to overlook Spieth as a result. He's a stand out leader on the Strokes-Gained stat on tour, averaging 1.14, and he's also up in 3rd place on Greens In Regulation (GIR) where he is finding a decent 70.9%. Only Dustin Johnson and Kyle Stanley can top that.
With his lofty position in the world rankings, and decent enough recent form (4th at the Zurich Classic and 2nd in the Dean&De Luca) he looks a sound pick with Bet Fred at 10/1 (e/w)
Our second pick is Justin Thomas who is also well up on both the stat tables we are interested in this week. 19th in Greens In Regulation (69% hit) and 4th in Strokes Gained (0.83), Thomas ticks all the right boxes. He was also 3rd here last season, and looked superb over in the US Open before falling away on Sunday. That outcome should surely fire him up to play his best game this week, and he's also been the most consistent player on tour, with more top 10's than any other player - 10 already in 2017. At 14/1 he looks a great each-way pick.
Finally, Englishman Paul Casey is a third who looks well suited to the course. 5th in GIR (70.8%) and 3rd in Strokes Gained (0.88), Casey is a former runner-up here in 2015, so will be excited about the prospect of another decent result.
His season has been going along nicely, ranked 27th in the FedEdCup, and Top 10 finishes banked in the Dean&DeLuca, the Masters and the World Golf Championships already this season. He was right up there after the first day at the US Open, so will be in the mood to get back on the horse after ending up 26th last time out.
Paul Casey is 22/1 this week, which is more than fair for an each way bet.
