Manny Pacquiao v Jeff Horn
The legend that is Manny Pacquiao faces Autralian fighter Jeff Horn in the early hours of Sunday morning (UK Time) and while it will be a treat for the home fans to see such a superstar in town, this fight has the potential to become a rather one sided affair.
Horn has earned his shot at this one by stopping Ali Funeka in their Inter-Continental welterweight encouter, but the South African is far from a world class act, and in truth, Horn has had to beat very very little to get this bout. To say he's earned it might be stretching the truth somewhat.
Of course, Pacquiao is well on the decline now at 38, but what he has lost has arguably only brought him down to the level that others would have dreamt of reaching, so he should still be far too quick and strong for Horn.
With bookmakers offering no longer than 1/5 about the Philippino there isn't a great angle on the fight betting, but in the method of victory market there could be a more interesting opportunity.
In 59 wins over his career, Pacman has won 38 by knockout and 21 by decision, but those overall figures disguise a pattern that could see him win this one by decision. As time catches up with him, some of that explosive power has gone, and while he will still have the speed to win this fight, securing a knockout might well be beyond him this time.
It's worth noting that his last nine victories have all come by decision - you have to go all the way back to Miguel Cotto for his last knock-out almost eight years ago!
