In the Ladies US Open 2nd Round, experienced Chinese player Shuai Peng should get the better of Donna Vekic in our view. Peng reached the semi-finals here in 2014, while Vekic’s 1st round win yesterday was only her second main draw win at Flushing Meadows. Experience should certainly play a part in this encounter.
Vekic also has a pretty weak 9-16 record on the surface against Top 100 players over the past two seasons, compared to a 16-16 record for Peng. All in all, Peng should expect to get the job done, and 8/15 feels long enough to have a small bet.
