F1 Post Qualifying Update
After a hugely rain affected qualifying session in Monza, the grid has a pretty mixed up look about it. Not only did rain play it's part, but grid demotions and penalties have been applied left right and centre with a host of teams changing components before or after qualifying. This leaves a provisional grid as below:
Of that lot, our first bet simply has to be Max Verstappen. The Dutchman qualified 2nd on the grid, and his 14th place on the grid isn't as bad as it might appear. He has the hugely uncompetitive Marcus Ericsson and Pascal Wehrlein directly in front of him, while Kevin Magnussen also looks a sitting duck. It would be a big surprise if he didn't finish the first lap within the Top 10. That would give him the rest of the race to make up four more places to reach the Top 6, so back Verstappen to finish in the Top 6 at 5/6.
Our other bet is on the total finishers. The last three events have seen 17 finishers each, with 16 finishers in a further four races this season. With so many teams prepared with fresh components, reliability should be good here this year, and the sun is set to shine all day on Sunday. Back Over 15.5 Finishers at 11/10 with Corals or Ladrokes.
