Iceland v Czech Republic

We've taken a dip into the International Elo ratings, and they pull out Iceland as a strong bet when the side meet Czech Republic in Doha on Wednesday.

This could very well be a case of the match being priced up on reputation rather than quality - we shouldn't forget recently of course that Czech have failed to qualify for the World Cup after finishing 3rd in their group behind Northern Ireland, while Iceland came out ahead of Croatia, Ukraine and Turkey to top Group 9 in some style.

That also suggests that Iceland will want to be taking this seriously as they take a look at how they might want to prepare for the World Cup, in terms of blending in the fringe players, and establishing a main core unit who will lead them forwards. Games are limited for these sorts of preparations and Iceland are unlikely to take the task too lightly.

Uni Bet's 8/5 is certainly good value, and the 6/4 on offer more widely would be acceptable when that price inevitably goes.
