Moto GP - Valencia

Marc Marquez has put his Repsol Honda on pole position for this weekend's final race of the season - the race that will now surely crown him 2017 Champion.

The Spaniard comes into this race 21 points clear of Andrea Dovizioso, so only a win for his Italian rival could see the positions reverse now - and even then, Marquez would need to finish outsider the top 11 - something which has happened just three times this season.

The grid lines up Marquez-Zarco-Iannone, so the Championship leader will be delighted that his biggest rivals aren't in the frame. Zarco looks set for a very big season next season, and has gone well in Valencia in junior classes, but he shouldn't threaten Marquez this year.

The even money on the Spaniard looks really attractive when you consider that only Marquez and Lorenzo have won this event in the last four years, and factor in just how bad a season Lorenzo is having with Ducati in 2017.

Marquez hasn't been off the podium here since debuting in Moto GP, and won the 2012 renewal when in Moto2.
