Horse of the Day
Friday's Horse of the Day runs on the evening card at Chelmsford in the 8:15pm - the six-year-old Choral Clan.

He placed over today's distance last time out (at Lingfield) - eventually beaten by less than a length to the winner, so should go close again with a repeat effort off a similar mark this time. He's also ade the frame in each of his last three runs this season and has won five times already on the polytrack, so the surface won't bother him.
In fact, he's never won away from the polytrack surface, and each of those five wins came in partnership with today's mount Jack Mitchell. Trainer Brendan Powell has an excellent record on the all-weather as well, with an 11% strike rate in handicaps for a 65% ROI over the past four seasons.
In a pretty weak looking class 5 field, Choral Clan should go close, and looks excellent value as an e/w poke at 5/1.
