Darts World Championships - Day 5

Into Day 5 already, and we fancy Kai Fan Leung to get the better of the better known Paul Lim at the oche in the preliminary round.

Played as a race to two sets, there is always an element of luck in the progression from such a short format match, so at a healthy odds against, Leung interests immediately.

The Hong Kong player got plenty of experience earlier in the season when playing deep into the UK Open qualifiers - everntually qualifying fully for the March event,

That run saw him beat Jamie Lewis, Ronnie Baxter, Madara Razma, Ronny Huybrechts among others, so he's certainly got the ability needed for this one.

Paul Lim is notable for his famous nine-darter back in 1981, but he's not beein insde the world Top 300 for a decade now and his record against familiar names is pretty woeful of late. He lost 6-1 to Dave Chinsall in the 2017 Shanghai Masters, 6-4 for MvG in the 2016 renewal. Lost 4-2 to Mesur Suljovic in 2016 WC of Darts, 4-0 to Devon Peterson in the 2014 WC of Darts. He's certainly no 1/2 favourite in this one and will do well to average in the high 80s in our view.

2pts Kai Fan Leung to beat Paul Lim at 7/4
