Lingfield Park hosts Friday's Horse of the Day after Crosspark faded on Thursday, and we're backing 4/1 shot Oregan Gift to put in a strong performance in the 2pm race.
It looks a really nice suit for this six year-old, who will admitedly need to defy top weight to land this one. Firstly, the make up suggests the race should suit a front running prominent type, and that's certainly where Oregan Gift likes to sit, while it's also a decent course for those drawn high in such races. We're drawn in 11 of 11 for this one.
The going is expected to be pretty standard, and our pick has placed in six from eight in those conditions. We also sit nicely in this sort of company, placing in four from six, while Oregan Gift has also won on both visits to Lingfield.
The only slight concern might be the distance - rising up a couple of furlongs from previous best efforts. However this looks to be a shoot out with favourite Master Burbidge, and the price differential is enough to persuade us to side with a 4/1 chance rather than a 6/5 jolly.
