With some luck last week, we go again hoping to find another winner on Monday, and we're plumping for Skipthescales in the 3:15 at Ayr for our pick of the day.
The favourite in this heat is The Delray Munky, but there remain doubts about his ability to last this 3m trip, so preference is given to the impressive Skipthescales who has already proved his ability on heavy ground, at this level, over the course, and also over the distance. In terms of lasting the trip, he's probably the pick of the bunch, having won twice from four starts at this distance, and he comes here reasonably fresh from his last outing in January - a win at Newcastle over a very similar trip.
Expect the likes of Transient Bay and Durbanville to set the pace in this one, but they seem unlikely to stay, and Adam Nicol can prevail from an early chasing position.
