Aspinall v Dolan

Nathan Aspinall v Brendan Dolan

Both players have already set themselves up for the forthcoming season with the huge ranking points collected from reaching the quarter-finals, and one of these men can take it one step further. It's No.56 v No.42 in the Order or Merit Rankings at the moment, but the stats suggest Aspinall should be a stronger favourite than he is at present.

Aspinall has grown into the event - averaging 88.42, 92.28, 96.17 and 95.76, and that compares very favourably to Brendan Dolan (86.63, 92.72, 95.73, 89.77). In the stats we hold in the run up to the tournament, I'd expect Aspinall to finish 33% of legs inside 15 darts (given an opportunity) compared to just 26% for Dolan, and 77% of legs inside 18 darts - compared to 69% for Dolan.

We've been backing the Asp throughout the tournament with plenty of sucess, and I'm happy to go with him again at 8/11 with the tournament sponsors here.

A second, albeit marginal value bet, is in the opening leg - where NO 180 looks the pick at 1/2 with a range of firms. Neither man hits many - Aspinal would typically be in for around 0.22-0.23 per leg, while Dolan is no higher than around 0.12 per leg. We make it closer to 2/5.

2.2pts Aspinall to beat Dolan at 8/11 (WillHill)

2pts 1st Leg No 180 at 1/2 (General)
