Tuesday - Best Non League Bet
Chesham v Basingstoke
There isn’t anything which interested me in the higher divisions this Tuesday, but one little spot that could be worth backing are Chesham Utd in the Southern League ahead of their match with Basingstoke.

Form can be more important in non-league, such is the potential for clubs to significantly alter their playing staff as the season progresses, how they are affected by cash flow and the general squad size being much lighter than in the Football League and above.
On the face of it, Chesham shouldn’t be much in this – they are only just about Basingstoke in the division, with a minus 18 goal difference compared to minus 8 for their opponents. But it was a very slow start to the campaign for Chesham who didn’t win until their 9th match of the season. In fact, they won just once in their opening 16 matches in all competitions.
Since then however, they have now managed to record an impressive seven wins (and three draws) from their last 13 matches, so are very much ma team on the up.
Basingstoke by contrast collected 14 points in their opening seven league games, but more recently have won just twice in 13 games in all competitions and haven’t kept a clean sheet since the middle of October.
Chesham are even money in this one, and that looks a sound investment in my eyes.
