Dagenham v Aldershot

This is a nice and early tip, and we're shamelessly taking a pointer from @DarranPearce - a non-league specialist who we always keep half an eye on. I hope you'll take this as a compliment Darran!?

Dagenham started the season in really poor nick - winning just twice in their opening 16 games. That would usually see them sucked into the relegation battle, but Peter Taylor has quietly worked his magic and since the end of October has put together a fabulous run - winning 10 if his last 16 games.

Shorter term form might worry some people, but when you look at the opponents recently you can forgive a few losses - the Daggers have played Salford (twice), Leyton Orient (twice) and Barnet in their last seven matches. They got a win against each of Salford and Orient in that run.

Aldershot have lost 11 games on the road already this season and are without a win since November 3rd. Most recently they lost to Chesterfield (2-0), drawn 0-0 with Maidenhead, lost to Maidenhead (4-3) and gone down to Bedford 7-0 in the FA Trophy among a few other results.

I also saw them first hand at Harrogate just before Christmas and to say they were played off the park would be an understatement.

At a fraction of odds-on, Dagenham are well worth a bet here.
