Ayr v Dundee Utd

We've told you all about Lawrence Shankland in recent weeks and it's more of the same this week I'm afraid.

He's one of the most sought-after players in the Transfer Window with the Scottish Sun reporting as many as 15 clubs are in for him, and he's out of tonight's match against Dundee Utd which is bad news for Ayr.

Shankland has scored 28 goals for Ayr this season in all competitions - not bad considering Ayr have scored 51 as an entire team! No-one else has more than three in the League (Shankland has 18) and since he's been out they have lost three games without scoring a goal. He's a huge loss. HUGE.

Dundee Utd have already shortened a little in the betting markets, but probably not quite enough - they can still be supported at 6/4 with a few firms. Backing them to win to nil is another option, with 15/4 on offer with Corals and BetVictor while another option could be to dutch the 0-1 and 0-2 scorelines at 9/1 and 13/1 with BetVictor. That equates to backing Dundee Utd at 9/2 to win 1-0 or 2-0. Finally, we could consider backing the Under Goals, and this looks one of the best ways forward as there hasn't been much of a move on that line from the Asian markets yet.

1pt Dundee Utd to win and Under 3.5 Goals at 5/2 (General)

1pt Dundee Utd to win and Under 2.5 Goals at 5/1 (General)

2pts Under 2.5 Goals at Evens (Corals)

0.5pts Dundee Utd to win 1-0 at 9/1 (BetVictor)
