Wolves v Man United - Early Bird

We proved in midweek that sometimes it pays to move on the market early, and while we aren't predicting the same sort of price movement on Monday, we do think it could pay to side with Wolves sooner rather than later.

Participation in the Europa League is well documented as being a statistically robust distraction from league activity, but for Wolves, things could be different - at least for the time being at least.

Nuno Espirito Santo's side are probably benefiting right now from kicking off their competitive action slightly earlier than most. If the travel is something you like to factor in, then counter Wolves' commitments with Man United's decision to visit Australia, China and Singapore ahead of the big kick off.

Wolves benefit from the extra day's rest for this one after their Thursday night exploits - but they shouldn't really need that. Their 4-0 win in the first leg ensured they could rotate for this one and only Conor Coady and Joao Moutinho survived from the team who faced Leicester for Thursday night's match. The United match shouldn't be treated a Europa hang-over match.

This season Wolves looks slightly stronger than last. Nothing huge, but the signings of Patrick Cutrone, Pedro Neto and Bruno Jordao all give them additional depth. Noone of any note has left, so they benefit from another season together as a unit.

For United, it's impossible not to feel that their price is short after their 4-0 win over Chelsea. It was a scoreline which flattered them I'm sure, and I remain deeply unconvinced about their quality in several areas. Things just seemed to fall into place against Chelsea and it may very well be a false dawn. The signing of Harry Maguire aside, very little has changed of note in the squad bar a couple of relatively unproven prospects at this level. They finished last season with just two wins from their last 12 matches.

With Wolves' excellent record against the big sides, we can trust their preparations and tactical approach, and they are surely overpriced at 12/5.
