Sky Bet League One

Bolton Wanderers finally got their first win of the season on Tuesday as they went to Bristol Rovers and landed a 2-0 result. That means they have now posted a 1-5-3 record since the take-over went through on 28th August. Seven of those nine matches have featured Under 2.5 as Keith Hill has worked on the basics with his new recruits.

Now let’s put a mark in the sand at August 28th, and compare Bolton’s results with Lincoln’s since then – this weekend’s opponents. Since that date Lincoln have posted 2-1-9 – rather worse than the Trotters, although it’s also worth noting eight of those 12 have also gone Under 2.5 Goals. Without a goal now in their last three matches, they could be another potential scalp for Bolton who will surely begin to look up the table rather than licking their wounds.

We’ll take Bolton at 9/2 here, and also dabble with the 1-0 away win at 14/1.

Having looked through the rest, a fair few came close on the shortlist. Mentions go to Ipswich at Southend (who will be without two more players after the red cards in midweek, and could be run ragged after that mauling to Doncaster), Doncaster themselves who scored seven in midweek and travel to Tranmere who have been shocking recently, and Shrewsbury who look a big price at home.

1pt Bolton to win at Lincoln at 9/2 (UniBet)

0.5pts Bolton to win 1-0 at 14/1 (General)
