Scottish Championship - Saturday
Ayr United host Partick on Saturday, with a quick turnaround for both sides after midweek action. Ayr have been in much better shape throughout the season, but a run of three successive defeats (ahead of a trip to Morton) will be concerning fans. Given they have played Inverness and Dundee I’m not overly concerned, and their 55% share of the shots in their games is proficient enough to suggest they won’t be far off come the end of the season. Prior to their recent blips, they have been unbeaten for six.

Partick come into this is marginally better form, with recent wins over Inverness, Connah’s Quay and Dundee, but their overall shot ratio of 46% and 44% shots-on-target doesn’t convince me they are all that strong. Cup matches put to one side, they have won just two matches this season so far and kept just a single clean sheet since the start of the season.
Ayr look the value at 6/5 in this one, with plenty of layers lining up to take our cash.
